These current records are from a series of moorings deployed by JAMSTEC (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology). The moorings were placed within a few degrees of the Equator in a line running from 90 deg East to 142 deg East, over a period of several years. Each of the links below takes you to a table that describes one mooring site, from which you can download that mooring's data. Greyed-out links below are not yet active but will be as soon as the data are available.
JAMSTEC notes that the original ADCP files were treated by removing "Several kinds of noises such as side-lobe effects" and that the data were then "corrected" to 10-meter bins. The data are hourly. We have further corrected the time series by filling gaps of up to 4 hours (3 points) by linear interpolation. You should be aware that some of these time series are quite noisy. We have made no other attempt to clean up high-frequency noise.
