depths during the first month that are not correlated with speed
or temperature changes. They appear to represent sensor errors
rather than blowover. 

Approximately 51% of this record's speeds have been set to zero.
These probably are below-threshhold speeds in the raw data. A
further 6% of the speeds are less than 1.5 cm/sec and appear to
represent interpolations.
