Every sensor (or the recording mechanism) failed before the mooring was recovered. The last good direction is at line 3182 (2100 02 Aug 1998). The last good temperature is at line 4733 (1200 06 Oct 1998). In addition temperature contains a gap in lines 3185 through 3354 (0000 03 Aug 1998 - 0100 10 Aug 1998). The last good pressure is at line 4707 (1000 05 Oct 1998). In addition pressure contains a gap in lines 3185 through 3354 (0000 03 Aug 1998 - 0100 10 Aug 1998). Finally, speed contains four gaps. In the original record these are regions where the instrument recorded its threshold speed (1.1 cm/sec). We believe these episodes are most likely sensor failures rather than accurate measurements, and according have excised them. The four speed gaps are in lines 2556 through 3320 (1900 07 Jul 1998 - 1500 08 Aug 1998) 3751 through 5099 (1400 26 Aug 1998 - 1800 21 Oct 1998) 6004 through 6157 (1100 28 Nov 1998 - 2000 04 Dec 1998) 6843 through 6903 (1000 02 Jan 1999 - 2200 04 Jan 1999) The last good speed is at line 7034 (0900 10 Jan 1999).
