The filter is described as having a "40-hour cutoff." CMDAC does not have the original unfiltered data and was unable to check for instrument errors. The temperatures in this file are potential, rather than in-situ temperatures. (Potential temperature is the temperature that a water parcel would have if it were moved adiabatically from its measurement depth to the sea surface.) The current meter's speed sensor failed between 22 Oct 91 and 4 Jan 92 (lines 573 through 721). Direction and temperature are present throughout, however.
