Arabian Sea Mixed Layer Dynamics Experiment

During this experiment moorings were set at five locations (see the map). Most of the records listed below were made at the Central mooring under WHOI's Discus Buoy. We were able to obtain only three of the records made elsewhere in the array. The latter three were made at the University of Washington's Southeast mooring.

All of the files were recorded with a time increment of 15 minutes. The moorings were deployed initially for six months in October 1994, and reinstalled in April 1995 for a second six months. The two deployments were separated by a gap of about two days. In most cases we have bridged the gap with a predictive interpolation, making a single year-long record. In a few cases an instrument failed during the initial deployment and the gap was too wide to bridge. In some other cases, we replaced long linear interpolations (made by WHOI?) with either gaps or predictive interpolations.
