We were able to obtain current meter records from two components of NOAA's Subtropical Atlantic Climate Studies program (STACS). As part of STACS, scientists at the Rosenstiel School and elsewhere undertook an investigation of the Atlantic western boundary currents, using long-term moored current measurements as well as repeated hydrographic, tracer, and velocity profiling surveys at several locations between the equator and 27 deg N.
