After this the speed sensor channel has repetitive bit values which clearly are incorrect - 48 (32 + 16), 112 (64 + 32 + 16), etc. As with other records from this array there are a relatively large number of speeds at the meter threshold. 19% of the speeds recorded during the first 229 days are of this nature. The temperatures appear genuine and directions derived from the components may be useful, although users should be aware that directions recorded by the upper meter at this mooring are considered suspect. CMDAC's judgement is that the directions probably are good. We have, however, terminated speed, u, and v at the point suggested above.
