First, there are several speed dropouts (episodes where the current meter's rotor counter appears to have failed) most notably during 5 Jan 87, 4 and 5 Mar 87, 19 - 21 Apr 87, and 8 Aug 87. Second, there are linear interpolations in speed and direction during 6, 7 Mar 87, 9 Jul 87, and 18 Jul 87. Third, in many places the direction series is unusually smooth and may have been smoothed to clean it up. There is a gap in speed and direction in lines 4151 through 4342 (26 Jun 87 - 4 Jul 87). Approximately 18% of the speeds in this record are zero.
