Experiment name: ICM7 Principal Investigator: F.Schott/D.Quadfasel PI's affiliation: Institut fuer Meereskund Mooring Name: IK19 Mooring position: 6.993 deg N, 53.400 deg E Instrument depth: 2000 meters Seafloor depth: 5120 meters Times: starts 11 Apr 1995, ends 02 Mar 1996 Time increment: 720 minutes Instrument type: Aanderaa RCM-8 parameter min mean max sd days speed (cm/sec) 0.14 3.68 15.64 3.17 327.0 dir (deg true) 0.00 206.65 358.73 103.36 327.0 u (cm/sec) -10.00 -0.51 9.60 2.58 327.0 v (cm/sec) -14.60 -0.64 8.30 4.03 327.0 temp (deg C) 2.88 3.13 3.62 0.14 327.0 pressure (db) 2053.30 2058.30 2101.60 7.63 327.0 All of the time series have been low-pass filtered and decimated to two points per day, by the PI. The filter is described as having a "40-hour cutoff." CMDAC does not have the original unfiltered data. All series have a gap in lines 382 - 394 (0000 18 Oct 95 - 0000 25 Oct 95). The current meter's temperature sensor was not specially calibrated for this experiment. That is, the manufacturer's calibration was used. Since the response of a sensor and its circuitry may drift substantially in time, these temperatures should be used with caution.
