BSH has replaced part of this section with a linear interpolation, but it appears that the fix should have included a few more points. Temperatures remain close to 2.4 degrees for most of the record, with the exception of a number of spikes rising to 4 degrees or more during the last week of Jan 92. Are the spikes real or an instrument error? CMDAC has prepared an alternate version of this file in which the 17-hr episode of bad speeds and directions referred to above has been replaced by predictive interpolation. Both versions of the file are available on this disk.
