The speed and direction series from this instrument are exceptionally
noisy, compared to those from the other instruments used in this
experiment. Some 14% of the recorded speeds were below the current
meter's threshold. CMDAC thinks it likely that much of the noise
(i.e., the high-frequency energy) and at least some of the below-threshold
speeds were caused by instrument failure. Use these data with
extreme caution.
