CEFAS's comment: The pressure sensor records 3242 dbar at the start of the series, which approximates to 3190 m. This compares to an expected depth of 3200 m ... and the difference of 10 m is well within the tolerance of sensor accuracy of 60 dbar (1% of range). The recorded values increase during the deployment, from 3242 to 3302 dbar with a modal value of 3254 dbar, but this is also within the sensor tolerance.
