The speed series contains 4 gaps:

   lines 692 - 1021 (1600 8 Jan 93 - 0900 22 Jan 93)
   lines 1275 - 1291 (2300 1 Feb 93 - 1500 2 Feb 93)
   lines 3471 - 3495 (1100 4 May 93 - 1100 5 May 93)
   lines 5530 - 5923 (0600 29 Jul 93 - 1500 14 Aug 93)

In addition there are many linear interpolations in speed during
the latter part of December 92 and early January 93.

The direction series contains a number of apparent instrument
errors during December 92 and January 93.

CMDAC has prepared an alternate version of the file in which
the direction errors mentioned above have been replaced by linear
interpolation, and the two shorter speed gaps have been replaced
by predictive interpolations. Both versions of the file are
available on this disk.
