The speed sensor of this instrument failed; only direction and
temperature are available. 

The direction series shows some spikiness beginning in mid-May
92, which becomes particularly intense during 17 Jul 92 - 8 Aug
92. The latter episode is clearly due to a sticky compass; most
of the spikes are at a single value, 294 degrees. 

CMDAC has prepared an alternate version of this file in which the
direction spikes mentioned above have been replaced by linear
interpolation. Both versions of the record are available on this
disk.
