The first 11 days of speed appear to be heavily interpolated
and may be of limited value.

u and v end at line 8650, on 10 Jul 91, whereas temperature
continues until 24 Aug 91.

After the middle of July 1991 the temperature series is quite
smooth and appears to have been heavily interpolated or perhaps
filtered.

CMDAC has prepared an alternate version of this file, in which
the first 11 days of speed and the final 44 days of temperature
have been removed.  The direction series is present throughout in
the alternate file.  Both versions of the file are available on
this disk.
