The speed series in this record contains some apparent
interpolations during 12 to 14 May 91.

The temperature series contains an anomalous 3-hour spike
starting at 1530 31 Aug 90 (line 1147). This spike was not
present in a low-resolution recording made by the same current
meter, and is almost certainly an instrument error.

This record's pressure series is problematical. It displays
a tendency to stick at two values, 1029.9 db and 1013.3 db,
alternating between them much of the time. This evidently is
an artifact, since the resolution of the sensor is much less
than the difference between the two values. Note also that the
maximum recorded pressure, 1134 db, is greater than the water
depth, 1028 m!

CMDAC has prepared an alternate version of the file in which
the temperature spike mentioned above has been smoothed by
linear interpolation, and the questionable pressure series has
been removed. Both versions of the file are available on this
disk.
