The original version of this file, as supplied to CMDAC, contained
nulls in temperature and direction during two measurement cycles,
presumably because of an instrument failure. The two cycles occur
at line 7366 (2000 15 Apr 96) and line 8061 (1900 14 May 96).  For
the sake of continuity CMDAC has replaced these nulls with linear
interpolations. 

From the pressure record, the rest depth (no blowover depth) of
the instrument was about 85 m.
