Speed and direction in this record are not of high quality. There
are many short linear interpolations in speed, most of them a few
hours to a day in length. Direction appears to contain some
interpolations, but a greater problem is that the compass stuck at
336 degrees for much of the experiment. Only the first 2 months
(approximately) of the direction series is useful.  The speed series
is mostly OK through the end of October 91.  Use these data with
caution. 

The current meter's battery failed about 11 months after deployment.
