Approximately 18% of the speeds recorded by this meter were
below the instrument's threshold and have been set to 0.93 cm/sec
(half the threshold).

The depth of this instrument was about 2625 meters, according to
the pressure record, but closer to 2513 meters according to line
lengths. The latter figure probably is accurate. The striking
pressure change one sees during September 95 in the time series
plot is actually equal only to the resolution of the instrument,
and is not significant.
